The Life of Matthew

Matthew Steven Rairdon was born on July 17, 1991, to his loving parents Gary & Laurie (Wescott) Rairdon. Matthew was a devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and cherished friend by so many. Growing up Matthew was involved in theatre. In high school, he was a star actor in many shows and even received an All-State Award. He also enjoyed baking! Leading into his junior year of high school Matthew was hospitalized at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. It was during this time Matthew realized he wanted to be a nurse. After graduating Westbrook High School in 2009 he went on to Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. Matthew graduated Saint Joseph’s in 2013 and became a nurse in the ER at Mercy Hospital. Matt loved his job as a nurse and was even overheard one night saying “I love life, it’s the best. No one loves life more than me.”
